For nearly three years the Bang the Table team has been determined to be the very model of a modern 21st Century business. Everyone has been happily working from our homes dotted across Australia and around the world. Over the past twelve months we’ve grown from two blokes (with a good idea) and a contractor to a board of four with ten and half people working full time. Add another five moderators scattered around the globe, our four Australian Associates, and two distribution partners in Canada and New Zealand, and you can see our problem. It was time to accept reality and find a homebase for the business.
It made sense to locate our office in Melbourne give four of us were working within a stone’s throw of each other anyway. And it made sense to locate the office in funky Collingwood for a few reasons. Did I mention it’s funky. There are lots of great cafes. It’s five minutes walk from the Victoria Park Station and the Hurstbridge and Epping train lines (along which three of us live), and five minutes to the Smith Street tram into the city – so it’s sustainable. We just love this part of town. It has an authenticity that we value and that we hope will rub off on everything we do.

I’m on the lookout for a couple of lounges and nice big donference tables (and maybe an air-hockey table) for downstairs. We hope to be running our “After Hours Conversations” from here in no time.
