Q. Why the Draft Medowie Strategy?

The Port Stephens Community Settlement and Infrastructure Strategy (CSIS) 2007 incorporates the strategic directions of the Lower Hunter Regional Strategy and identifies Medowie as one of only two significant new release areas for urban development in the Port Stephens LGA for the next 25 years.

The purpose of the Draft Medowie Strategy is to identify how to manage this growth and deliver the outcomes of the Lower Hunter Regional Strategy and draft Lower Hunter Regional Conservation Plan and the CSIS 2007.
