Meghan has a strong marketing background, having served a diverse range of clients and organizations. Her experience catering to high profile groups such as the Denver Nuggets and Cirque Du Soleil prepared her for the changing demands of government work. Her latest tenure as the Marketing Supervisor in the Community Resources Department at the City of Lakewood is what connected her with Bang the Table.
After managing the City’s EHQ project site for the last year, she was impressed with its ease of use and the variety of tools available. She found the convergence of public outreach and tech to be exciting and saw opportunity with Bang the Table. Meghan’s passion for public service is also a big driver for her to continue her path in the government sector.
“I believe in positive transformative power of government, and it feels good to be able to continue to work on behalf of the public. Though there are a lot of misconceptions about government, I find it to be the most challenging and rewarding work I’ve ever done.”
Meghan loves art and is a self-taught designer. She was the writer, designer and editor for Bravo, Lakewood’s Arts magazine which reaches 35,000 people three times a year. She enjoys getting outdoors and exploring with her blue heeler Maggie, and is a “huge nerd” when it comes to public transit. She loves taking the bus/train to learn the layout of a city, stopping to read maps, plaques and historical notation along the way.
She is excited to be on board and looks forward to being a part of the Bang the Table team and getting out and meeting other people in the public sector!
