The Purdon & Associates report made certain recommendations regarding the future use options for the community site? Which option do you prefer?

Weston definitely needs more housing suitable for older people - small gardens and small houses to allow for less capacity for housework and less ability to work in large gardens. Providing such housing in this relatively central site makes a great deal of sense. I support the recommendations.

I agree with the final recommendations provided in the report. I do not believe additional aged care facilities would enhance Weston, as the suburb already has aged care facilities - which are currently being expanded. Further, aged care would not take into account the demographic changes that will occur in the area with the proposed land releases in North Weston and two future suburbs in the Molonglo valley.
I would also add that any residential development should be based on courtyard homes or townhouses and not be above 2 storey. Strong consideration should be given to community facilities, and retention of the green space.
