How can your school help prepare you for your career?

School careers counselling, work experience and TAFE/University open days are all there to help you to work out what you want to do with your working life and to help you make a plan for getting there. What was your experience with these? Did careers counselling work for you? Was work experience useful? Do you have any ideas for other ways schools could help?

Dapto High School has an excellent careers advisor, I have been on work experience and it was very helpful as it reinforced what I actually wanted to do when I leave school ... a primary school teacher! The careers advisor also helps through careers alert!

I don't believe that there is anything more our school can do to help!

Thank You
