I would rather see the site left as open space - we do after all live in Canberra, not Sydney for the open spaces and sense of country living, not high rise buildings. The area is currently used by many families getting out to spend time in an open environment to kick balls, walk the dog, play at the park. I live in Kambah to have access to open spaces, parks and 'green area'. If I wished to live in an area with medium density housing, I would resort to Woden or Civic.

I agree there is probably a need for 'affordable housing' but if that means removing allocated green space, move elsewhere.

It appears we are going through another consultation process which will unlikely be heard by the government.

Maintaining the space for the oval as open ground is

important.

As the density of development KAMBAH increases in the future ovals and other open areas will become more heavily used. Once this area is built upon it will be difficult or impossible to convert it back into an oval.
