Today, I was privileged to present to the Annual Conference of the Australian Disability Employment sector. I was asked to speak to the issue of “how social media can help the disability employment sector”.
Australia’s disability employment services sector is going through a revolution. Some 500 plus people gathered together in Melbourne to talk about the future of the sector. I was approached by Disability Employment Australia to challenge their members to think about the application of online communications tools to their day-to-day work. I say “challenge” because it became clear than the sector is yet to embrace the opportunity provided by online communications tools. The presentation slides are presented above. I think they speak for themselves, but you always click through to SlideShare to read my speech notes if needs be.
