Dan Popping joins the Bang the Table team with over fifteen years of engagement experience in state and local government in South Australia. Along with his wealth of experience, Dan brings a passion for giving people a voice in decisions that affect their lives. In his government roles, he has acted as an advisor, developing and delivering hundreds of engagement projects.
Dan helped many organisations embed engagement as part of their everyday work and is committed to sharing his knowledge and practical skills with others. Prior to joining Bang the Table, his most recent positions included: Manager Engagement, Better Together/Your Say with the Dept. of the Premier and Cabinet, South Australia; Senior Community Engagement Officer, Adelaide City Council, and Community Engagement Officer and Youth Development Officer for the Campbelltown City Council.
“I’ve been a long time fan of Bang the Table’s software platform, EngagementHQ (EHQ) after learning about it in my early days as an engagement officer”, Dan said. “I introduced the EHQ software to Adelaide City Council as part of a major effort to increase the way residents and ratepayers participate in local decision making activities. The holistic support that Bang the Table provides to clients and their demonstrated commitment to meaningful engagement are just two of the reasons I wanted to join the team. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience to support best practice engagement across Australia”.
Dan received a Bachelor of Applied Science, Conservation and Parks Management from the University of South Australia, a Diploma in Management of Leadership Learning Dynamics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Development from
